Assemblyman Dov Hikind showed his true colors by dressing up incorrectly (“Facial Profiling!” Feb. 26).
By doing that, all he did was promote hatred and disrespect.
Next Purim, he can go dressed as a clown or jackass. Then he won’t need any costume or makeup.

Next Purim, he should dress like a weasel, and his fellow politicians will object that he is making fun of them.

John Galliano dresses up as a Hasidic Jew and gets a pass because it is a fashion statement. Hikind dresses up in blackface for a Purim party and encounters no end of grief.
Not so smart. All he had to do was say the blackface was a fashion statement. Any controversy would have been limited to the fashion pages.
