Woman critical after throat slit in home attack

A Bronx woman is clinging to life after she was found inside her home with her throat slit, police sources said.

The woman’s daughter came upon the horrifying sight inside the Belmont home along Arthur Avenue yesterday around 4 p.m., sources said.

The 66-year-old victim had severe head wounds and a massive cut to her throat and was rushed to St. Barnabas Hospital where she remains in critical condition, police said.

A motive for the brutal attack is still unclear at this time and investigators are checking to see if there are any signs of forced entry, cops said.
