Thieves drop phone after robbing victim

Two men who used a taser to rob a man of his iPhone in Bushwick dropped their own phone with pictures of themselves, which police are now using to hunt them down, authorities said.

The suspects approached the 21-year-old victim around 11:25 p.m., Wednesday, pulled out the illegal weapon and demanded his Apple device, police said. The victim turned over his pricey phone and the suspects fled, cops added.

But they forgot something, police said. One of the thieves dropped his own phone when he fled and investigators noticed the thieves’ mugs on their own phone screens, cops said.

Now cops are distributing the photos in hopes the public will help identify the dim-witted thieves, authorities said.

The victim was not injured, police said.
