Thieves hit armored truck for $400,000

Two sly thieves made a major score when they stole nearly half a million dollars from a unattended armored truck in Bronx, authorities said.

The armored truck was left with its engine running as the two employees were making a pickup from a clothing store along Fordham Road in Fordham Manor, at around 6 p.m. July 30, cops said.

That’s when the thief got into the truck and moved it about three blocks away on Valentine Avenue before loading around $419,000 into a giant bag.

The man’s getaway driver then pulled up in a silver Nissan Rogue before fleeing the scene.
