Juilliard gets $10M gift for new graduate drama program

The Juilliard School in New York City has received a $10 million gift that will endow its new four-year graduate program in drama.

The donation will support instructional costs and new faculty and provide full scholarships and stipends for students in the final year of the master of fine arts program in drama.

The school said in a news release that Juilliard’s board chairman and his wife, Bruce and Suzie Kovner, initiated a matching challenge grant of up to $5 million to endow the MFA program. It was completed with gifts from John A. and Carole Moran and the Harold and Mimi Steinberg Charitable Trust.
