Dennis Rodman, Kim Jong-un look-alike in bizarre ad

Ex-NBA star Dennis Rodman is now the star of a nutty ad making light of his bizarre friendship with North Korean despot Kim Jong-un.

The former rebound leader, who befriended the dictator during two visits to the embattled nation earlier this year, stars in the latest off-kilter commercial from Wonderful Pistachios.

In the ad, Rodman and an actor resembling Kim sit in chairs decked in the company’s signature black and neon-green color palette. The former basketball player, known for his flamboyant dye jobs, has tinted his hair to match.

“The secret to world peace is…pistachios,” Rodman says in his only line of dialogue, moments before the Kim lookalike hits a red button, gleefully blowing him up.

Among the other celebrities the company has used to push pistachios in the last year are Snoop Lion, Manny Pacquiao and PSY.

Earlier this month, following his second visit to the repressive country, Rodman dubbed Kim a “good guy.” He also announced that the two would be co-authoring a book, as well as his intention to train the North Korean basketball team.
