A home health attendant who stole as much as $170,000 from her 90-year-old Upper West Side charge was “addicted” to spending, law-enforcement sources said.

Rosaline Macheke, 24, allegedly ripped off the elderly woman — who suffers from dementia — while caring for her in her 107th Street apartment near Amsterdam Avenue over a two-year period.

Macheke allegedly withdrew $66,000 from the woman’s Citibank account and regularly padded her paychecks, which she would write out herself.

Sources said she used the money to pay bills and help her sister with her college tuition in Africa — but Macheke also admitted that, to curb her out-of-control spending habits, she destroyed the old woman’s ATM card.

She was arrested Tuesday and charged with grand larceny, court records show.

The man in this sketch is wanted for questioning in a Tudor City mugging and purse snatching, police said.

The suspect, thought to be in his 20s, crept up behind a 33-year-old woman on a building stairwell on East 42nd Street at 7:20 p.m. Monday, sources said.

The 5-foot-7, 140-pound thief pulled a knife and ordered her to surrender her purse, but she refused, so he slammed her against a wall, cops said.

She suffered a minor head injury, and he fled with the bag, police said.

A Jerome Park man assaulted his wife so viciously with a broom handle that she wound up with an eye swollen shut and a bloody nose, authorities said.

Omar Murray, 28, went after his spouse at about 10 p.m. Thursday in an apartment near West 195th Street, court papers state.

He allegedly grabbed her and began pummeling her in the face and on the arms.

The woman, who was treated for her injuries at an area hospital, had obtained a court-issued temporary order of protection against her husband, the authorities added.

Murray was arrested that night and charged with assault, menacing, harassment, and criminal possession of a weapon.

He was released after making his $15,000 bail, according to the court documents.

A Castleton Corners man who killed his wife last year was re-arrested for trying to contact his teenage daughter from jail, which violated the order of protection she had obtained against him, authorities said.

Gregory Surinaga, 45, was charged with criminal contempt Thursday after he attempted twice to reach his 18-year-old daughter, according to court records.

He first tried calling her on Feb. 1 while she was working at Doody’s Home Center on Victory Boulevard, court papers show.

He then sent her a letter that she received on March 2 at her home, the papers say.

She had sought and gotten the order of protection earlier this year, and it remains valid through Dec. 31, the court records indicate.

Surinaga was originally arrested on Dec. 2 and charged in the beating death of his wife, Jodi, 42.
