B’klyn officers kill knife-wielder lunging at them

Cops shot and killed a Brooklyn man last night after he lunged at the officers with a knife moments after stabbing his roommate, police said.

The man had allegedly stabbed his roommate at about 8 p.m. in their Carroll Gardens apartment, cops said.

The roommate then ran downstairs to a spa, where workers called 911. When cops arrived, the injured man pointed out his attacker, who was standing on the street outside.

The uniformed officers shot and killed the man after he lunged at them with the knife as they approached, cops said.

“I heard two shots,” said David Fernandez, a local tea-shop owner.

The stabbed roommate was taken to Lutheran Hospital in critical condition. The two cops were taken to Long Island College Hospital and treated for tinnitus.

The death marks the third police shooting in the last two weeks.

Cops shot and killed 16-year-old Kimani Gray in East Flatbush on March 9 after police said the teen pulled a gun on officers.

On Thursday, police officers also shot a man in Brownsville after he allegedly pointed a gun at them.
