Today

KINDUR GARDEN: Like stepping into a fairy tale, interactive performance “Kindur” at BAM invites kids onstage to explore a make-believe landscape of glaciers, volcanoes and flower-filled gardens. In case you’re wondering, “Kindur” means “sheep” in Icelandic (but the show is Italian). Ages 4 to 10, 11 a.m. and 3 p.m., $12. BAM Fisher, 321 Ashland Place, between Hanson Place and Lafayette Avenue, Brooklyn; 718-636-4100, bam.org

HOOP DREAMS: Use March Madness as an excuse to score big with “Fast Break: College Hoops at the Winter Garden,” where kids can play in pickup games on a specially built basketball court, brush up on skills in practice clinics, watch live games on a big screen and more. Through tomorrow, noon to 5 p.m., free. 220 Vesey St., between North End Avenue and West Street; 212-417-7000, brookfieldplaceny.com/fastbreak

TOMORROW

HISTORY REPEATING: Kids don’t have to stop learning just because they’re on spring break. The New-York Historical Society and DiMenna Children’s History Museum have family-friendly activities planned for the whole week, from scavenger hunts to art projects inspired by current exhibits. At 12:30 p.m., Newberry Award-winning author Avi will read from his book “Sophia’s War,” a tale of the American Revolution. Free with admission (adults, $15, kids 14 and over, $10, kids ages 5 to 13, $5). 170 Central Park West, between 76th and 77th streets; 212-873-3400, dimennachildrenshistorymuseum.org

STILL TO COME

SEEING RED: “Annie” star Lilla Crawford hits the Children’s Museum of Manhattan Tuesday to sing “Tomorrow,” lead a sing-along and answer questions. 2 p.m., free with $11 admission (tickets distributed one hour before performance). 212 W. 83rd St., between Broadway and Amsterdam Avenue; 212-721-1223; cmom.org
