It’ll be the show with its turn signal still blinking,

With few demographics left to cover, the ID channel has turned its murderous eye to the old.

The network is unveiling plans today for a new true-crime show, “Elder Skelter,” about people who waited until their Medicare years to go rogue.

“We’re always looking at virtually all aspects of crime,” saysID’s president, Henry Schleiff. “Some we do with a little more tongue in cheek, which is kind of where this one comes in.”

According to promotional material, the show will tell “shocking stories of senior citizens who committed cold, calculated crimes.”

Due to debut later this year, “Elder Skelter” will hosted by three sexy seniors from New York — including 93-year-old Ilona Royce Smithkin, who still sings in cabarets and up until 10 years ago featured a split in her dance routine.

“It’s sort of like the ‘Golden Girls’ meets true crime,” said Schleiff.

The other hosts are Joyce Carpati, 80, who worked for 27 years at Cosmopolitan and was a lifelong friend of Helen Gurley Brown, and Lynn Dell Chohen, also 80, who owns the Upper West Side’s Off-Broadway Boutique.

The woman were recruited from photos in a popular fashion blog called “Advanced Style,” which features fashion-conscious seniors.

None of the women are criminals — or even victims, officials say. They were cast solely as presenters with a sympatico with the demo.

It’s the name of the series that has TV execs expecting big ratings.

“Forget about the show,” says Schleiff. “We jumped right to the title.

“In the tradition of ‘Wives With Knives,’ ‘Dates From Hell’ or ‘Southern Fried Homicide,’ obviously, the title ‘Elder Skelter’ fits right in.”

Production on the show does not begin until later this spring so officials could not say yet which crimes would be featured.
