Oprah- Obama big hit

Oprah Winfrey’s “Christmas at the White House” brought some Yuletide cheer to ABC Sunday night.

The special, in which Winfrey interviewed President Barack Obama and First Lady Michelle Obama in DC, pulled in nearly 12 million viewers from 10 to 11 p.m.

While that finished a distant second to NBC’s Giants-Eagles game — which averaged 21.9 million viewers — it was ABC’s best 10 p.m. numbers since last month’s infamous “American Music Awards” telecast, which featured Adam Lambert’s raunchy on-camera antics.

It was also Sunday’s most-watched entertainment program.
