Brooklyn boy struck by car

A 12-year-old boy was fighting for his life after being hit by a car while crossing a street in Brooklyn Tuesday, authorities said.

The boy was running against the light on Bedford Avenue near Avenue M in Midwood at around 7:20 p.m. when a northbound white Ford Sierra hit him, sources said.

“He got hit bad,” a witness said. “[The driver] was going fast, he skidded . . . and there was a loud bang.”

The driver was given summonses for speeding, cops said.

A family friend said the victim’s twin brother was sent out to look for his sibling and came upon the tragedy.

The victim was listed in critical condition at Kings County Hospital.
