An actor in the Broadway rendition of “Spider-Man: Turn Off the Dark” could not use superpowers to save him from a real life mishap — when a computer orchestrating a hydraulic lift malfunctioned sending the performer through a trap door.
Daniel Curry was seriously injured during the August 13 performance at the Foxwood Theater on 47th Street, according to a new Manhattan Supreme Court lawsuit.
Curry is suing 8 Legged Productions for information about the accident that stopped the show while he was being sawed out of the stage.
The dancer wants the company that is responsible for special effects equipment to hand over evidence related to his harrowing fall that resulted in foot injuries.
Two other actors were injured while performing stunts during “Spider-Man.”
Reps for 8 Legged Productions did not immediately respond to messages.
