Anthony Weiner ‘explains’ mayoral loss

Anthony Weiner whined on TV Tuesday about his pathetic performance in the mayoral primary — and claimed that he lost because of his ideas and not because of his sexting scandal.

“I’ve now lost two elections where my opponents framed this two-cities thing,” the disgraced ex-congressman said on NY1, also referring to his 2005 Democratic mayoral primary race against Fernando Ferrer.

“There is this level of discontent and concern out there that Bill de Blasio tapped into . . . he won, I lost,” added Weiner, who never mentioned that he led the polls until it was revealed that he was embroiled in his second sexting scandal in a year.
