Simon Cowell’s romance with a 36-year-old make-up artist from “American Idol” will not end up at the alter until this time next year — when it can be milked for all the publicity it is worth, according to reports.
The timing of the wedding would coincide with the debut of his new show, “X Factor.”
Cowell “is the king of spin and knows that a great love story will help sell the US version” of “X Factor,” sources told CBS News’ Web site over the weekend.
“Expect no wedding this year at all,” the source said. “2011 is the year of Simon in the US and he will pull out all the stops needed to become an even bigger success.”
Cowell, a confirmed bachelor until now, is engaged to Mezhgan Hussainy, whom he met on the show several years ago.
