Par for the course: Woods’ stint in rehab

* Addiction is addiction, whether it involves a substance or compulsive behaviors (“Tiger Hoods: First Photos at Rehab Center for Sex Addicts,” Jan. 21).

Sex and love addiction is often more painful than withdrawl from drugs or alcohol.

How much homicide, suicide, domestic abuse, loss of sanity and juvenile delinquincy is caused by this addiction?

With 80 million Americans addicted or related to addicts, schools should be required to teach emotional intelligence and how to process feelings.

The only way out of the pain is through the pain. The alternative is addictive or compulsive behaviors.

* If “sex addict” Tiger Woods wants to experience what it is like not to have sex with every woman he meets, he should try not being a super-rich celebrity.

His status is the reason so many women of a certain type throw themselves at him.

* Give the Woods story a rest.

He slept around. Big deal. It’s between him and his wife.

Once Woods starts winning tournaments again, no one will care anymore.
