Smile Nancy! You’re on TV

Nancy Grace has lost her bid to bar cameras from her deposition today in a wrongful death lawsuit.

A Florida judge ruled that HLN’s “Nancy Grace” host can be videotaped while answering questions in the suit, bought by the estate of Melinda Duckett, who committed suicide in 2006 the day after taping a combative phone interview on Grace’s TV show.

Duckett was on the show to talk about the disappearance of her 2-year-old son, Trenton. Grace demanded to know where she was on the day of the boy’s disappearance.

Duckett’s family blames Grace for inflicting “emotional distress” on Duckett, which led to her suicide. (She shot herself the day the interview was scheduled to air.)

While Grace can be videotaped today, the tape cannot be shared with “any third party,” and no portion of Grace’s testimony can be disclosed without the federal magistrate’s permission.

Trenton Duckett has never been found.
