Kiefer Sutherland roped in $900K cattle investment scam

Kiefer Sutherland, who plays slick counter-terrorism agent Jack Bauer on TV’s “24,” lost $869,000 in a complicated investment scam, TMZ reported Tuesday.

He was roped into giving money to a man who claimed he would go to Mexico, buy cattle and resell them for a profit in the U.S., prosecutors said. The alleged scammer was said to have pocketed the cash instead.

Suspect Michael Warne Carr faces 12 felonies, including grand theft and embezzlement, in the case, according to TMZ.

Another couple was reportedly hoodwinked out of $177,000.

“24” is broadcast on Fox, a division of News Corp., also the owner of NewsCore and The Post.
