Teixeira: No winner in A-Rod mess

Mark Teixeira doesn’t see a winner in the latest saga of the trials and tribulations of Yankees teammate Alex Rodriguez. Sitting courtside at Monday’s Knicks-Suns game at the Garden, Teixeira said no one gains anything in Rodriguez’ suspension for the season and his subsequent legal action.

“My only reaction is that nobody wins. Alex doesn’t win, MLB doesn’t win, the Yankees don’t win,” Teixeira said. “It’s just an unfortunate situation.”

Whether Rodriguez is there or not, Teixeira, who missed most of last season with a wrist injury, said he expects to be ready for spring training.

“I’m feeling really good and I’ll be ready to roll,” Teixeira said. “I’m swinging, hitting off a tee and everything is feeling really good. … I’m expecting no problems for spring training. And hopefully it keeps progressing the way it has been all offseason.”
