Man killed by N train in Times Square

A man was struck and killed by a subway this morning in Times Square, police said.

He was hit about 8:15 a.m. by an downtown N train on 42nd Street and Broadway, and died at the scene, authorities said.

Witnesses told police that he jumped in front of the train, and no criminality is suspected, cops said.

He has not been identified yet, but is believed to be a Middle Eastern man in his forties, authorities added.

Downtown N and R trains are bypassing the station while police investigate. They are running express from 57th Street to Herald Square, according to the MTA.
