A-Rod circus returns to Park Avenue

Alex Rodriguez’s appeal against Major League Baseball resumed early Wednesday morning at MLB’s Park Avenue headquarters.

MLB is continuing to present its case that Rodriguez deserves a 211-game suspension for the use of multiple illegal performance-enhancing drugs and obstructing MLB’s investigation into the Biogenesis matter.

Along with the return of Rodriguez to MLB is the return of Hispanics Across America, the group that gained notice two weeks ago with its loud support of Rodriguez’s cause outside the building. About 40 HAA members appeared Wednesday morning, holding a new batch of signs that took on Commissioner Bud Selig, his deputy Rob Manfred and Yankees president Randy Levine.

Rodriguez arrived on the scene at approximately 9:05 a.m., signed autographs and took pictures with some of his supporters.

MLB is still presenting its case, and is expected to produce other witnesses to support the allegation that Rodriguez obstructed the investigation. Manfred is expected to testify on Thursday.
