This year’s final Nobel Prize winner was just announced, so we take a look at Nobel hotties. Sure, these do-gooders and brainiacs are prize winners thanks to the Nobel committee. But to us, these men are prizes because of their looks. And sorry, guys, this list is for the gals.

This silver-haired, Peruvian fox ran for president of his home country in 1990. Though he fell short, his literary works alone have been known to rock the Latin American political structure. And who wouldn’t want to investigate whether what’s said about Latin lovers is true? -
5. White House hot
Barack Obama, 52 — Peace, 2009
Age when awarded: 48

Whatever your politics, most of us can agree that President Obama has brought a youthful vigor to the White House. That, combined with some more-recent distinguished gray in his hair make for a knockout one-two punch. -
6. Cultural discovery hot
Jean-Marie Gustave Le Clézio, 73 — Literature, 2008
Age when awarded: 68

Most writers craft pieces based on their own perspective or human experience. But when you’ve resided in as many remote locales as J. M. G. Le Clézio, you can channel anyone, anywhere. This European author has written about North African immigrants in France, native Indians in Mexico and dwellers of the Indian Ocean. Yeah, being a well-traveled curator of words makes him extremely hot. -

Kofi Annan, 75 — Peace, 2001
Age when awarded: 63
Hometown: Kumasi, Ghana, NYC, Geneva
The former UN Secretary-General can bring people together. And he can whisper sweet nothings (or somethings) in English, French and several African languages. Plus, no Nobel winner can wear a suit like the regal Annan. -

Wolfgang Ketterle, earned his keep doing repairs on household appliances around the house as a child. The MIT prof got his Nobel for the achievement of Bose-Einstein condensation in dilute gases of alkali atoms. And he’s a runner, which mean he keeps his body in tip-top shape.
