A high-school French teacher fired after an alleged lesbian tryst with a Spanish teacher in a Brooklyn classroom is suing to get her job back.
Cindy Mauro, who denies engaging in sexual shenanigans with fellow language instructor Alini Brito, yesterday called last week’s Department of Education dismissal “arbitrary and capricious.”
She insists that she was simply helping Brito cope with a low-blood-sugar moment at James Madison HS and that there’s no “substantial evidence [of] any sexual activity.”
An arbiter earlier found the claim based on Brito’s diabetic condition to be “devoid of credibility.” Mauro’s lawsuit comes hot on the heels of one filed by Brito.
