Restless Durant set for Game 7

OKLAHOMA CITY — Kevin Durant had trouble sleeping, trying to shake off the worst playoff performance yet in his young NBA career.

After the league’s scoring champion managed just 11 points in Oklahoma City’s loss that set up a decisive Game 7 today (3:30, ABC) against the Grizzlies, Durant woke up yesterday still thinking about what went wrong.

Durant took nine of his 14 shots from behind the arc, and he made only one basket over the last 45 minutes of the game. He says picking up two fouls in the first 5 minutes got him thinking too much about drawing another whistle instead of just playing.

Durant called it a “lesson learned” that no matter what happens today, he has to fight through it and leave everything he’s got on the floor.

The winner advances to face Dallas in the Western Conference finals.
