The kids, a boy and a girl (pictured), went up to the 38-year-old woman at 8 p.m. Monday inside the park at Fifth Avenue near East 107th Street.

The girl, between 12 and 14, demanded that the woman hand over her cellphone, while the boy, about 10, tried to grab the victim’s purse, police said.

The woman was able to overpower the children, who fled empty-handed, police said.

Cops also wish to speak with an older girl who appears with the kids in the photo, although she’s not believed to be a suspect.
