Rob Ford: Women just want money

If there’s one thing that citizens of North America have learned this year, it’s that no one should ever take advice from Rob Ford. But that’s not about to stop the continent’s most embarrassing mayor from opening his mouth.

Ford weighed in with gift giving tips for husbands and boyfriends during his weekly appearance on DC radio station 106.7 FM The Fan’s “Sports Junkies,” reports the National Post.

“Women love money,” the disgraced public servant said. “Give ‘em a couple thousand bucks and they are happy.”

It’s advice that Ford himself follows whenever he needs to get a gift for his own wife, the publicity shy Renata Ford.

“At the end of the day, she wants her cash, so I give her a nice check and we’re all happy,” the Torontonian said. “She says ‘Honey, I want cash.’”

Don’t worry, though, Ford knows it’s not all about money, he’s also been known to give his wife a “nice basket with flowers with a bit of this and that.”

As for what Ford wants, he said his wife surprises him with thoughtful gifts related to things he’s interested in, like sports and politics.

Earlier this year, Ford was criticized for offering to “explain how politics work” to women.

As usual, the embattled mayor avoided talking politics, but he did at least address his much-discussed dancing display from a city hall meeting earlier this week.

“I like Bob Marley. I like dancing. I like having a good time,” Ford said.
