Don’t Miss: Shriver documents poverty, ‘Believe’ in NBC newbie

Believe (Sunday, 9 p.m., NBC)

Raised by a small group known as the “True Believers,” the orphaned youngster Bo (Johnny Sequoyah) has been safeguarded for years from harmful outsiders — like the FBI — who would use her forces for personal gain. With her future now in jeopardy, the “Believers” went looking for a protector, Tate (Jake McLaughlin), a wrongfully imprisoned death row inmate. First, they have to break him out of jail. Having accomplished that, Tate takes Bo to Atlantic City, where she instantly bonds with a struggling mother and her sick child. The involvement of the FBI complicates the efforts of Skouras (Kyle MacLachlan) to covertly recover Bo, while Winter (Delroy Lindo), her protector, and Channing (Jamie Chung) work to stay one step ahead.

Paycheck to Paycheck (Monday, 9 p.m., HBO)

Katrina Gilbert, a 30-year-old single mother of three, works as a certified nursing assistant in an extended care facility and lives in a trailer. She is the subject of a Maria Shriver documentary that focuses on American women who are on the brink of poverty. Gilbert’s story includes an ex-husband who is a recovering addict as well as a new boyfriend and a decent support system in the Chambliss Center, a subsidized facility that provides affordable, round-the-clock day care for poor, single moms like Gilbert. Based on “The Shriver Report: A Woman’s Nation Pushes Back from the Brink.”

The Blacklist (Monday, 10 p.m., NBC)

Rachel Brosnahan, who plays Rachel, the ex-call girl and killer of Doug Stamper on “House of Cards,” gets a nice break this week when she does a guest spot on “The Blacklist.” She plays Jolene, a woman that Tom (Ryan Eggold) feels is interfering with his mission. Meanwhile, the next target on the Blacklist is one of Red’s (James Spader) past associates, crime lord Mako Tanida (guest star Hoon Lee of “Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles”). After Tanida escapes from prison, he is out for revenge. Diego Klattenhoff, Megan Boone and Harry Lennix co-star.

Scandal (Thursday, 10 p.m., ABC)

Presidential candidates Fitzgerald Grant (Tony Goldwyn, right) and Sally Langston (Kate Burton) are both vying for the NRA’s endorsement. Then Sally sets a meeting with the gun-loving lobby that sends the White House into a tizzy. Meanwhile, Olivia (Kerry Washington, center) and Huck (Guillermo Diaz) come to shocking realizations and a surprising person asks for help from Pope and Associates. With Jeff Perry (left).

Revenge (Sunday, 10 p.m., ABC) Emily’s (Emily VanCamp) blackouts become destructive, forcing her to get help from someone she screwed over. Elsewhere, Victoria (Madeleine Stowe) deals with a person from her past as well as her shirtless son, Patrick Osbourne (Justin Hartley).

Resurrection (Sunday, 9 p.m., ABC)

The Langston family, especially Sheriff Fred (Matt Craven), is forced to confront secrets from their past they’d rather leave buried when Bellamy (Omar Epps) attempts to have Jacob’s tomb exhumed. Maggie (Devin Kelley) agrees to help Bellamy in his investigation, and Pastor Tom (Mark Hildreth) reaches out to Jacob (Landon Gimenez), his childhood friend. Meanwhile, the Richards family adjusts to Caleb’s (Sam Hazeldine) return, the second for Arcadia. But unlike Jacob, Caleb claims he has no memory of his death.
