‘Good Day New York’ tops morning news programs

“Good Day New York” (Rosanna Scotto, Greg Kelly) had another good week last week — beating both ABC’s “Good Morning America” and NBC’s “Today Show,” in New York, in adults 25-54 (considered the “money” news demo).

For the week ending March 14, “GDNY” (7-9 a.m./Ch. 5) — executive-produced by Lamar Goering — averaged 132,000 viewers in adults 25-54, compared to “GMA” (100,000 viewers on Ch. 7) and “Today” (96,000 viewers on Ch. 4). And, through the first 12 days of March, “GDNY” is averaging 123,000 viewers in adults 25-54 — ahead of both “GMA” (116,000) and “Today” (106,000).
