Pint-sized actress Kristin Chenoweth suffered a seizure today on the Williamsburg set of “The Good Wife” after she was struck by a piece of falling scaffolding, sources told The Post.
The real-life drama occurred around 5 p.m. when Chenoweth — who has won Emmy and Tony awards — was filming her guest appearance on the CBS legal drama and the construction equipment fell about 15 feet and hit her, the sources said.
The 4-foot-11, 43-year-old was seizing for about 30 seconds and briefly lost consciousness, the sources said.
Chenoweth was rushed to Bellevue Hospital where she was listed in stable condition.
Another person suffered minor injuries.
A witness told TMZ that she was hit “square in the head” and was “knocked out cold.”
“I thought she was dead at first,” the witness said.
The witness added that the spot near the East River on Kent Avenue and North 6th Street is notoriously windy.
“That area is a vortex for wind… and a big gust of wind blew the lighting off the scaffolding,” the witness said.
Co-star Josh Charles and others from the show rushed to visit her at the hospital last night.
A spokeswoman for the network did not immediately respond to a request for comment.
About an hour before the accident, Chenoweth was apparently looking for a way to beat the heat.
“Where is a 7/11 when i need one?,” she tweeted.
Chenoweth — who has starred in shows like “Pushing Daisies” and was the original “Glinda” on Broadway’s “Wicked” — snagged a role on the drama playing a nosy reporter who is digging into the personal lives of main characters, played by Julianna Margulies and Chris Noth.
Chenoweth is no stranger to on scene accidents.
Last year she hurt her back when she fell down concrete stairs while filming on the set of “Glee.”
In 2006, she fell from the stage during rehearsals for the Broadway revival “The Apple Tree.”
And in 2003, she hurt her neck while working on “Wicked.”
