‘Bird’ man suing city

Now he’s flipping mad.

An aspiring lawyer who got busted for giving three cops the finger behind their backs filed suit against the city yesterday.

Robert Bell says his middle-digit salute was an “obviously protected form of speech” under the First Amendment, and his civil rights were violated when he was locked up for it.

His Manhattan federal court suit seeks unspecified damages, noting that his arrest record could deny him admission to “the law school(s) of his choice.”

A spokeswoman for the city Law Department said: “We have not yet received the lawsuit, and at this point, these are simply allegations.”
