It seems like just yesterday that when you didn’t know the name of the song playing, you were screwed. Now, thanks to the app Shazam, identifying a track is as simple as pressing a button on your phone. Take a look below at the songs most “tagged” (Shazam’s term for searched) in 2013.

    The undisputed song of the summer took the top spot with an impressive 17.8 million tags.

  2. 2. “Wake Me Up,” Avicii

    With an assist from Aloe Blacc, the genre-bending EDM smash came in as the runner-up with 14.7 million tags.

  3. 3. “Thrift Shop,” Macklemore & Ryan Lewis

    Macklemore & Ryan Lewis’ viral hit scored the No. 3 spot with 13.6 million tags.

  4. 4. "Can’t Hold Us,” Macklemore & Ryan Lewis

    The indie-to-mainstream masters also snagged the fourth spot with 11.9 million tags.

  5. 5. “Just Give Me a Reason,” Pink feat. Nate Ruess

    Pink and the fun. frontman teamed up for a 11.8 million-tagged smash.

    It wasn’t luck, but loads of radio airplay that landed Daft Punk 11.1 million tags for its catchy dance track.
