She may be a billionaire’s daughter, but she still knows how to save a buck or two on fashion.
Mayor Bloomberg said his oldest daughter, Emma, doesn’t waste money buying pricey designer duds — she often rents.
“People are sharing things all the time,” Bloomberg said at a news conference on city fleet-car-sharing that prompted his talk about dress-sharing.
The Web site “Rent the Runway, my daughter uses, you go online, pick a designer dress, they send you two different sizes,” the mayor said sounding like an expert.
“You wear it for the weekend and you send it back. Think about how much more efficient that is!”
Rent the Runway lets customers rent any of 175 designer dresses for a four- or eight-day period, then simply return it by mail.
