10 reasons Miley Cyrus deserves to be Time’s Person of the Year

Twerker of the year Miley Cyrus is leading Time magazine’s online poll for Person of the Year. Her 24 percent of the votes so far beats Recep Tayyip Erdogan, the Turkish prime minister (16.5 percent), and Narendra Modi, Chief Minister of the Indian state of Gujarat (15.2 percent), for the top spot.
Here are ten reasons Miley should be crowned Time’s Person of the Year.

Her portrayal of Hannah Montana in Disney’s hit show was riveting and way ahead of its time.

She’s a cat lover, at least a virtual cat lover, as seen by her stellar performance on the American Music Awards last week.

No man, not even Liam Hemsworth, can break her achy breaky heart (they split in September).

She loves balls . . . wrecking balls that is.

She single-handedly boosted the sales of flesh-colored latex hot pants.

TWERK . . . need we say more?

The length of her tongue definitely rivals Gene Simmons’.

Her hit song “Party in the USA” shows she can be patriotic when it suits her.

Kanye West thinks she’s “the s- -t.”

She’s comfortable in her own skin.
