Several “Big Brother” cast members have been accused of using racist, homophobic slurs on the show’s Internet-only edition, according to today.com.
Two “Big Brother” House-guests — Aaryn Gries and Staten Island’s GinaMarie Zimmerman — have been singled out for comments they’ve made about other cast members on the show’s 24/7 live Web edition, which differs from the edited version of “BB” airing on CBS.
Both women said that Korean-American housemate Helen Kim should serve them some rice — with Zimmerman adding, “I’m gonna punch her in the face. I’m like, ‘Oh, maybe it’ll make her eyes straight,’ ” the today.com report stated.
Gries and Zimmerman also bashed African-American cast member Candice Stewart, with Gries warning Stewart to watch what she says in the dark because she “might not be able to see the b—-,” according to the report.
Other cast members have also made remarks of this ilk — though not as frequently, the today.com report says.
“At times, the Houseguests reveal prejudices and other beliefs that we do not condone,” CBS said in a statement. “We certainly find the statements made by several of the Houseguests on the live Internet feed to be offensive.”
