“I had the dressing room across from Tracy Morgan,” recalls Keith Powell, who plays Toofer. “I never needed a TV because I could always count on him to provide me an endless stream of entertainment, just by opening my door.”

“We were shooting on a rooftop with Mary Steenburgen, and her friend Bill Clinton came by to see her,” says executive producer Robert Carlock. “It was a big party scene that included our fictional ‘30 Rock’ version of Kim Jong-Il, who is still alive and hiding out in America . . . as the former president was leaving, [a body double] ran up to him, stuck his hand out, and said, ‘I’m Kim Jong-Il!’ I thought he was going to get tackled by Secret Service, but President Clinton shook his hand and said, ‘That’s fantastic. Nice to meet you.’ ”

“I had lunch with Matt Damon and Julia Louis-Dreyfus [when they were on the show],” enthuses Grizz Chapman, who plays Grizz. “It was pretty cool . . . you would think these are really huge stars, and I’m like 17 or 18 on the call list, why would they want to have lunch with me?”

“I probably loved the live shows the most,” says Chris Parnell, who plays Dr. Leo Spaceman. “Those were especially exciting because of the combination of the ‘30 Rock’ and ‘Saturday Night Live’ worlds. We shot them in the ‘SNL’ studio, 8H. Half the crew was ‘30 Rock’ and half was ‘SNL.’ ”

“I’ll always remember how much my face hurt from laughing so much at table reads, watching Baldwin lead us in a comedic acting class every week, and Tina, between acting takes, writing future scripts,” says Lonny Ross, who plays Josh.

Katrina Bowden, who plays the hottie Cerie, recalls a favorite quote from the show. The scene? Liz returns to the apartment of her fallen idol (played by Carrie Fisher) and is horrified by her paltry existence. Hearing the story, Jack offers her this advice: “Never go with a hippie to a second location.”
