Tragic night in the city leaves four dead, five hurt, including 10-year-old Queens girl

Four people were killed and five others hurt in a violent six-hour stretch that included a 10-year-old girl shot in the hip, officials said.

The deadly span began at 11:30 p.m. Friday in Manhattan when a Hamilton Heights man allegedly stabbed his neighbor to death in their West 142nd Street building, authorities said.

Michael Patalano, 48, allegedly knifed Anthony Demarta, 49, in an argument over how the two should divvy up property they allegedly stole, sources said.

An hour later in Brooklyn, a 32-year-old man was fatally shot when he fought with another man in Bedford-Stuyvesant, cops said.

In The Bronx, Kahleed Adams, 19, was shot in the head and killed after encountering four teens at 12:30 a.m. on East 184th Street in Fordham Manor, cops said. No arrests have been made in his killing or the Brooklyn death.

In Queens at 1:30 a.m. yesterday, Briana Palmer, 10, of Far Rockaway, got caught in a hail of bullets, one of which grazed her hip, cops said. One person was in police custody.

Also in Queens, two men were shot in Jamaica at around 5 a.m, including a 33-year-old male who was pronounced dead at Jamaica Hospital. And three people were shot in Canarsie, Brooklyn, at 4 a.m. but survived.
