ACTION-movie czar Joel Silver, who made “Lethal Weapon” and “The Matrix,” will team with NBC to find “The Next Action Star.”
The new reality show will pit contestants against each other in a battle of wits and physical endurance – with the winners (one man, one woman) starring in Silver’s first prime-time TV movie, “Hit Me.”
“The Next Action Hero” will be comprised of 10 one-hour episodes, with producers scouring the country for prospective contestants “that seem to have that indefinable ‘it’ factor,” according to NBC.
The 12 contestants will be brought to Hollywood, where they will live together until only one man and one woman will be left to co-star in “Hit Me.”
