Hoops legend Michael Jordan allegedly fathered a love child with a Georgia woman 16 years ago — and she now wants the retired basketball star to pick up the tab for the teen’s medical expenses and child support, she says in a lawsuit.

Financially troubled Pamela Smith, 48, claims she became pregnant with Jordan’s son after a 1995 tryst. She gave birth to a boy in June of the following year, records in Fulton County, Ga., show.

The alleged fling would have happened while the then-Chicago Bulls star was still married to Juanita Vanoy, his wife of 17 years with whom he has two sons and a daughter. They split in 2006.

Aside from financial support, Smith — who has twice filed for bankruptcy and has a history of unpaid tax liens amounting to several thousand dollars — is asking a Georgia judge to make “Jordan” her son’s last name.

The boy, Grant Pierce Jay Jordan Reynolds, already goes by “Taj Jordan” and has taken to the Internet to claim Michael’s parentage.

“I have some exclusive, exclusive information I feel like everybody should know,” said the teen, a student at Westlake HS in Atlanta, in a YouTube video posted in December. “If you’ve been hearing any rumors about Michael Jordan’s son on Twitter, Instagram . . . any of that — it’s true.”

In the video, which went largely unnoticed until his mother sued on Feb. 6, Grant claims Michael “knows I’m his son, I’ve met him” — and Grant slams the NBA legend for being absent.

“He should be more in my life about it, too, ’cause if I was somebody’s dad, I would want to be in my kid’s life, ya feel me?” he added.

“So the reason I’m making this video is for everybody to know, for him to come out of the dark, and stop being secretive about it.”

Smith’s pal April Love told The Post last night that Pamela and Michael met in Chicago in 1987 and had a torrid romance before Jordan got hitched.

“They had a great relationship for about two years. They genuinely loved each other,” Love said.

They split up and each married someone else, but hooked up again when Smith paid him a visit in 1995 — and wound up pregnant.

“Pamela didn’t want to be deemed a mistress so she went on with her life and raised her son,” Love said, adding that Pamela didn’t tell her son who his famous dad was until he was older.

“Pamela wanted to make sure Taj was old enough to process the information. It was Taj’s idea to go public over the holidays. Pamela had no choice but to support her son and his desire to forge a relationship with his father.”

A Jordan spokeswoman declined to comment.

Michael has been engaged to Cuban-American model Yvette Prieto since Christmas 2011 — and they are scheduled to wed in April.

Grant, a braggy hip-hop-star wannabe, posts constantly on his several social-media profiles. He likens his homemade raps to Wiz Khalifa and Soulja Boy — claiming he is “nothing short of genius” and was “producing his own tracks as a 10th-grader.”

Though he uses his Web presence mostly to post shirtless pictures of himself, Grant took a break from that nine weeks ago and posted a photo of what looks like him and Jordan, with text superimposed: “Father & Son. Michael Jordan & Taj Jordan.”

His mother, who did not reply to requests for comment yesterday, on Dec. 30 posted a photo of herself with Michael, and yesterday shared a Web story about her suit.

Until suing Michael last month, most of Smith’s run-ins with the Fulton County Superior Court had come from two Chapter 13 bankruptcy filings in 2008, records show.

She has a longstanding history of tax liens, including $1,378 in 1999, $2,704 in 2002, $1,349 in 2006, and $1,157 in 2007 — all of which went to collections before Smith managed to pay at the last minute, records show.

On her Web site, Smith describes herself as a “master sexpert” and “loveologist” who helps couples spice up their sex lives.

Smith has also started and managed several businesses, including Young Ladies 2 Ladies Inc., GRP Leasing Inc., and Pierce Plaza Enterprises Inc. It is unclear if any of them are still standing.
