Rev. Al girl nixes his aid

Don’t expect the Rev. Al Sharpton to lead any protests over his daughter’s weekend “road-rage” arrest. She’s asked him to butt out.

Dominique Sharpton, who was arrested with her mother Friday night after a confrontation with Harlem cops, told her fiery father that she could handle her legal troubles on her own.

Dominique, 23, and her mother, Kathy Jordan, 53, were arrested after the younger woman swerved around a slow-moving police cruiser and ran a red light, police said.

Cops said the two women became belligerent after they were pulled over.

“I met with them and the attorney after the rally yesterday and was told to stay out of it,” Sharpton wrote on Twitter yesterday. “Dominique is grown and certainly can handle herself.

“Kathy showed the concern any mother would show.”

A Sharpton spokeswoman said Dominique wants to show that there is a younger generation that can handle leadership.

Even so, cops say she wasted no time invoking her father’s name at the station house.
