Weekend warm-up coming

After two days of wind, snow, rain and slush, we’re being rewarded with a sunny weekend with highs around 50 degrees.

“And there’s a shot at 60 on Monday,” said AccuWeather meteorologist Tom Kines.

It’s a 30-degree turnaround from the last two days’ lows.

The winter storm, dubbed Saturn, was supposed to dump 3 to 6 inches of snow from Wednesday night into Thursday but arrived late.

“We didn’t get the front end of it. We got the backlash,” Kines said.

When it was all over yesterday afternoon, 4 inches had fallen in Central Park.

The city’s last real March snowstorm was a 5 1/2-inch accumulation in 2007, said weather maven Steve Fybish.

The coming mild stretch is about right for this time of year. Normal highs for today and tomorrow are around 48.

The next precipitation is expected Tuesday, with rain and temps in the 50s.
