CASH BASH AS ANDY KOS GOV

ALBANY — Attorney General Andrew Cuomo trounced Gov. Paterson by 2-1 in the race to raise the most money for a 2010 gubernatorial run, and also has twice as much money in the bank as Paterson, records show.

Cuomo raised $5.1 million for the six-month period starting Jan. 15 and has $10.1 million in the bank, according to filings with the state Board of Elections.

Paterson raised only about $2.46 million and has just over $5 million in the bank.

“The king is dead, long live the king!” quipped a prominent Democratic consultant who said many contributors have switched over to Cuomo.
