PARK PERK BACK

A year after the city cracked down on the number of parking placards issued to its workers, the principals union has won its members the right to get ’em back.

As many as 5,000 coveted permits could be restored by an arbitrator’s ruling, according to the union — a nearly 45 percent increase from the 11,000 on-street parking placards now issued to school staffers.

The placard-pulling had violated the union contract, according to the ruling.

Officials yanked five of every six placards issued to schools last year in a bid to reduce pollution and congestion.
