GERMAN seamstress Inge is one hot granny. At age 67 she enjoys noisy sex with two men: Werner, her husband of 30 years, and Karl, a customer 10 years her senior.
Acting more like teenagers than senior citizens, Inge and Karl even go skinny-dipping together.
The story of this geriatric love triangle unfolds in the German soaper “Cloud 9,” directed by Andreas Dresen, who won his country’s equivalent of the best-director Oscar for this film.
Seldom has any movie shown so much geriatric sex and full-frontal nudity (male and female). But, thanks to Dresen, it is all done with taste and sensitivity.
Ursula Werner (Inge), Horst Westphal (Karl) and Horst Rehberg (Werner) turn in brave performances, not afraid to show off their sagging flesh and liver spots. Werner even won the German version of a best-actress Oscar.
