Jet kid clipped

That’s some offensive tackle.

An innocent 8-year-old wearing a New York Jets jersey at Sunday’s match-up between Gang Green and the Cleveland Browns in Ohio was pummeled by a blitzed Browns fan in the parking lot after the game, the boy’s mother said.

Then classy Browns fans pelted the boy — who lives in suburban Cleveland — with hotdogs and expletives for supporting the visiting New York team that beat the Browns 26-20 in overtime. He suffered minor leg injuries.

The boy’s mother, Danielle Brennan, described how the father-and-son outing turned into a horror show, in a scathing letter to the editor published Tuesday in the Cleveland Plain Dealer.

“We knew there would be hecklers, but never would I have thought that my son would be called an expletive to his face or have hotdogs thrown at him,” wrote Brennan, of Painesville Township.

“But the worst was when he was tackled by a drunken adult male in the parking lot. Yes, tackled!” she fumed.

“Can you imagine the fear that went through his mind as this buffoon landed on him with full force? It makes me sick to see the very large scrape and bruising he received.”

Yesterday, the Brennans turned down an offer from Jets VP Matt Higgins to fly them to New Jersey to watch a Jets game from a luxury suite.

An NFL spokesman said the Browns are investigating the matter.

“The Browns were disappointed in the actions of the unruly fan,” said NFL spokesman Brian McCarthy.

“All NFL teams are concerned with their fans’ game-day experience from the time they arrive in the parking lot to when they depart the stadium. We want everyone to be able to come to our stadiums regardless of which team they are rooting for and enjoy the entire day,” McCarthy said.

Outside her home, Brennan told The Post, “I’m done with this story, I don’t want to talk about it anymore,” and asked reporters to leave.
