Koch’s man: No con-do

Sorry, Stanley!

Disgraced political power broker Stanley Friedman — the former Bronx Democratic boss convicted of corruption in the 1980s — failed in his bid to grab a seat on the board of a ritzy Miami Beach condo.

Friedman, 74, was narrowly defeated this week for a spot on the five-member board of the Alexander condominium, where he’d hoped to serve as an “owner representative” for the property, which is also a resort hotel, a source said.

Five other candidates finished ahead of Friedman, who ended in sixth place by just seven votes, said the source.

On Nov. 12, The Post reported how the shady, cigar-chomping, disbarred lawyer — convicted of rigging city contracts after serving as an adviser to Mayor Ed Koch — was running for a seat on the board without disclosing his checkered past. That omission cost him dearly, a source said.

“He [Friedman] called one of the tenants about voting for him, and the tenant said, ‘No,’ based on the story,” said the source.

Friedman did not return calls for comment.
