Girls basketball roundup: Heaney, Wagner pull off comeback against PR

Meaghan Heaney had 30 points and 11 rebounds to lead Susan Wagner to a 57-55 win over host Port Richmond in PSAL Staten Island A girls basketball Tuesday.

Wagner (1-0) scored 24 points in the fourth quarter after trailing 44-33 going into the final frame. Dominique Fabozzi had six assists and Safiyah Goffney added five assists.

Shaniqua Lewis and Deborah Adeoluwa each had 15 points and Deanna Sims had 11 for Port Richmond (0-1). Lewis added 14 rebounds.

CLASS A

Brooklyn Collegiate 82, ENY Family Academy 9: Victoria Thomas had 17 points and Vanessa Chance and Tajzhane Dopson each had 10 points for Brooklyn Collegiate (1-0) in Brooklyn A East. ENY Family Academy is 0-1.

Edison 34, John Adams 28: Alexi Domenech had 23 points to lead Edison (2-0) in Queens A East. Adams is 0-2.

Hunter College HS 49, Washington Irving 27: Emily Jiang had 18 points and Charisma Ricksy had 13 points to lead Hunter (1-0) in Manhattan A East. Washington Irving is 0-1.

Bronx Science 41, Monroe 16: Diana Litsas had 17 points and Christine Pavia added 16 to lead Science (2-0) in Bronx A North. Monroe is 0-1.
