The Sooner he goes home!

88th Precinct

Fort Greene–Clinton Hill

Rolling robbery

A pistol-packing bicyclist held up a 45-year-old Oklahomian visiting Fort Greene on July 18.

The Sooner told police that he was strolling along Putnam Avenue between Classon Avenue and Irving Place at 1:20 am when the thief rolled up and pulled his weapon.

At the same time, the thief’s accomplice appeared behind him, cutting off any escape.

The two men demanded the victim hand over all his money, which amounted to $300 in travelers checks, police were told.

Vandervillains

Three goons put a 17-year-old in the hospital after beating and threatening him with a gun on July 15.

The victim told police he was on Vanderbilt and Lafayette avenues at 3:10 pm when the suspects charged him.

One of the thugs flashed a gun as the others punched and kicked him. They then ran off with the victim’s cellphone.

What a steal!

A 22-year-old was arrested on July 17 after she was nabbed stealing more than $11,000 worth of bare essentials.

Workers at the Target on Flatbush Avenue between Hanson Place and Atlantic Avenue told police they stopped the young woman from rolling away with a cart full of items at 12:13 am.

A set of bed sheets, some luggage, cleaning supplies, pet food and adult and baby clothes were among the items heading out the door, they said.

Turkish takeaway

A burglar barrelled through the side glass door of Deniz on Fulton Street on July 13, but only took $300.

Police said the thief forced his way into the restaurant at S. Elliott Place sometime between 1 and 4:30 am, taking only what he found in the cash register.

Stumble bum

A devious drunkard spirited away with a woman’s wallet during an awkward confrontation at the Clinton-Washington Avenues station on July 18.

The 60-year-old told police that she had just entered on the Washington Avenue side of the station at 7:15 pm when the would-be boozer stumbled into her.

“My bad,” the man said in a half-hearted apology as he managed to snag her wallet out of her bag and wander off.

The woman later learned her wallet was missing, but by then it was too late. The thief had already used two of her credit cards to purchase MetroCards, police said.

Bag grab

Three punks made off with a woman’s handbag during a lightning fast clash on July 16.

The 28-year-old victim told police she was nearing Willoughby and Classon avenues at 8:30 am when the trio ran by, ripping her Coach bag off her shoulder.

Car smash

At least two vehicles were looted in Fort Greene last week. Here’s what happened:

• A 30-year-old woman left her 2009 Toyota parked across from the Brooklyn Navy Yard on Flushing Avenue between N. Elliott Place and N. Portland Avenue at 8 am on July 16. She returned to her car nearly eight hours later to learn that someone had smashed her passenger side window, removing her iPod, navigation system, a laptop computer and a small amount of cash.

• A thief smashed his way into the cabin of a 2004 Suburban on July 12, but it was unclear if anything had been taken.

The SUV’s owner told police that he had parked the vehicle on Hall Street between Willoughby and DeKalb avenues at 1:55 pm. When he returned, his passenger side window was broken.
