One of off-Broadway’s best special effects is on Tracee Chimo’s head: the wild mass of hair she brushes and tosses in “Bad Jews.”
Not that Chimo is Jewish — for the record, she’s Albanian/Italian/Irish — but that’s really her own hair, augmented with extensions and extensive teasing.
Between shows, she pins it up in a bun. “I’ve battled my hair all my life,” says Chimo . “I used to blow it out all the time, but decided to embrace what I’ve got.”
Theatergoers should thank her.
