Victorino says Phillies ‘favorites to win it all’

Spring training hasn’t even started yet, but Shane Victorino know who’s going to win the World Series: his Philadelphia Phillies.

“I’m not one to sit here and make predictions or make bold statements to stir the pot,” Victorino said, according to the Philadelphia Inquirer, “but I think if you look on paper, we’re the favorites to win it all.”

Las Vegas seems to agree with Victorino, listing the Phillies at 3-1 to win it all after surprisingly adding free agent Cliff Lee to a starting rotation that includes Roy Halladay, Cole Hamels and Roy Oswalt.

The team did lose right fielder Jayson Werth to the Nationals in free agency.

“It’s fun for all of us,” Halladay said, according to the website. “Not only for the pitchers but everybody else.”
