He’s a jolly good sport!

The host of the 2012 Olympic Games, London Mayor Boris Johnson, found himself dangling midair wearing a blue safety helmet — what, no British bowler? — and waving two bite-sized Union Jacks after getting stuck on a zipline 33 feet off the ground.

The portly mayor’s big stall in the land of Big Ben provided lots of laughs for the crowd gathered at east London’s Victoria Park yesterday to watch the Games.

“Can you get me a rope? Get me a rope, OK?” the city’s fearless leader could be heard hollering down to spectators gathered below him.

The publicity-loving Johnson was lowered to the ground safely, but not before becoming a hit on online social media networks like Twitter.

“Pourmecoffee” tweeted about the big snag, writing: “Cheer up. you are having a better day than [Johnson].”
